Règlements généraux
Le Gala Alternatif de la Musique Indépendante du Québec (GAMIQ) est une cérémonie de prix qui récompense depuis 2006 les meilleurs albums et artistes, ainsi que l’industrie qui la supporte, de la scène musicale indépendante du Québec.
Sont éligibles pour le GAMIQ 2025 les albums de création originale parus entre le 1er juillet 2024 et le 30 juin 2025 d’artistes résidant au Québec pour les catégories albums et EPs. Pour les canadiens hors-Québec, une catégorie existe pour les albums et EPs, et pour les catégories simples, vidéoclips ou entreprises, il n’y a pas de restriction en ce sens.
Toutefois, sont exclus les artistes:
– dont l’une de leurs chansons a atteint le TOP 30 BDS Francophone ou Anglophone au cours de la présente année de recensement.
– qui ont déjà récolté une nomination au Gala de l’ADISQ dans la catégorie Interprète féminine de l’année, Interprète masculin de l’année, Groupe de l’année ou Chanson populaire de l’année ou récolté une nomination au JUNO Awards dans la catégorie Artist of the Year, Group of the Year, Album of the Year ou Single of the Year.
Sont également exclus les compilations de grands succès (versions originales ou réinterprétations).

Catégories
Ce sont les artistes ou leurs représentants qui déterminent les catégories où leurs albums, eps et vidéoclips sont inscrits. Le responsable du scrutin valide au besoin.
Les catégories Carrière ne procèdent pas par recensement mais plutôt par suggestions du jury.
Scrutin
1er Tour – Du 9 septembre au 5 octobre 2025
Le vote du public et celui du jury seront combinées (50-50) pour déterminer les nominations des 37 catégories. Le tout est fait en ligne, via le site du GAMIQ.
8 octobre
Dévoilement des nominations.
Du 8 octobre au 8 novembre – 2e tour.
Le vote recommence, cette fois-ci pour déterminer les lauréats.
Le vote du public et celui du jury seront combinées (50-50) pour déterminer les lauréats.
Dimanche 30 novembre 2025
Les lauréats seront dévoilés lors du gala.

General rules
The Quebec Indie Music Awards has been rewarding the best indie albums and artists from the Quebec independent music scene since 2006.
Indie albums containing original songs released between July 1st, 2024 and June 30th, 2025 by artists who are residents of Quebec are eligible for the 2025 GAMIQ. Canadians living outside Quebec have a dedicated category for album or ep and are not limited for single, videoclips or company.
However, some artists are ineligible for the following reasons:
– one of their songs reached the TOP 30 BDS Francophone or Anglophone in the current census year.
– they’ve already been nominated at the Gala de l’ADISQ in the Interprète féminine de l’année, Interprète masculin de l’année, Groupe de l’année or Chanson populaire de l’année categories, or already been nominated at the JUNO Awards in the Artist of the Year, Group of the Year, Album of the Year or Single of the Year categories.
Also excluded were greatest hits albums (original versions, remixes or covers).
Categories
Labels (or the management team or the artists themselves) have decided the categories in which the albums will compete and the process will be supervised by the ballot committee.
Career categories are filled by jury suggestions rather than by census.
Voting process
From September 9th to October 5th – 1st Round
The public and the jury’s votes will be combined (50-50) to determine the nominees in the 37 categories. The vote is done through the Gamiq website.
October 8th
The 2025 GAMIQ nominations will be announced during a 5 to 7 with the nominated artists present.
From October 8th to November 8th – 2nd round
Voting starts again, and this time the winners in the categories will be determined.
The public and the jury’s votes will be combined (50-50) to determine the winners.
Sunday November 30th
The winners will be announced at the awards show.
